I wasn't so much looking for bootleg copies of disks as getting actual sets of original media. In the case of Netware Connect, I have the license disk and such, but the installer disc is missing. I also have Flex IP, but the disks are corrupted and I was able to recover all but a couple files from them.

So, media would be a good start in this quest. Anyone have any leads on those?

Alternatively, you can download the NetWare 6.5 SP8 DVD overlay ISO image and burn it to DVD. This eliminates swapping CDs in the middle of the server installation when you are installing from physical media. Use third-party CD/DVD burning software to create the CDs or DVD from the ISO images you download. Label your NetWare installation CDs. Shejr dar vasfi tochikiston.

Regarding licensing, the Netware Connect materials only say you need written permission from Novell. I wonder if they get many requests to transfer products from the early 90's? E-Bay is the only place I'm aware, and they are extremely few and far between unless looking for Netware 3.12. I was looking for Netware 5.0+ with installation CD and license disk for 100 users.

After a year, I missed 1 opportunity and decided it was taking so long to buy them separate. It took me a whopping 1 year and 5 months to come across a Netware 5.0 installation CD with 5 users, a separate 100 user 5.0 upgrade license disk (we have a Novell 4.10 100 user license disk so could use the upgrade), and then came a 100 user license disk for Novell 5.0 (not upgrade) so I jumped on it and took that. 1 year and 5 months for ebay to come up with a Novell 5.0 installation CD and 100 user license disk (again after missing a prior auction as I was on vacation). It's rare stuff! On e-bay you can have them email anything new that comes up with a particular search, and I recommend you do that.

The moment someone posted a new Novell Netware, or Novell Netware License I was notified. I was looking for version 5.0+ for business use.

I was really hoping for 6.5 since I hear it would do everything 4.10 can do and will work on the most equipment you can buy today but I never saw a single 6.5 server, Novell CD, nor License come up for sale on ebay over 2 years. Our company is manufacturing, our main program is DOS based and was programmed with netware security inside the program itself to determine what screens people have access to and whatnot so we're stuck on DOS and netware (typically that means DOS - XP). The upgrade to our system is going to cost about a million, and a small manufacturing company like ours they'd rather spend the million on new presses. The ROI on a million dollar upgrade and adding $150,000 in maintenance costs/year when our DOS program does about 98% of what we need just isn't appealing to them. As much of a nightmare and headache it causes me.

So we mainly use XP (and some DOS) to Netware 4.10 servers and IPX/SPX as our main environment. I can get our DOS program working in Win7 by downloading and installing Microsofts free XP mode for Win7 pro but it runs like poop in there.
