FBK: Motorola is VERY protective of their copyrighted programming software. When a legitimate copy is sold or transferred they do demand a licensing fee. They even monitor places like eBay and Craig's List as well as places like qth.com and QRZ.com for people selling both legitimate and bootlegged copies. When Motorola comes across a bootleg copy they can get absolutely nasty! The cheapest method for getting a single radio programmed will be to get with a two-way radio shop which has a licensed copy of the software and get them to do the programming.
